Today the headline reads: "Bush Employs Carrot and Stick Approach with Pak." This article notes, at the end, that Pakistan is getting $1 billion in debt forgiveness and $50 million in military aid, including a shipment of F-16's. It's hard for me to see how these goodies add up to a "fruitless and possibly disasterous visit.," even if Kasuri was asking for more.
