SOUTH CAROLINA SCHOOL FUNDING
The Post and Courier (Charleston) has an article on ongoing legal battles over school funding in South Carolina. Arguments were heard in state court yetserday in the case of Abbeville County School District v. State of South Carolina. In 1999, in an earlier stage of the same litigation, the South Carolina Supreme Court ruled that the state constitution required the legislature to provide a "minimally adequate education."
