PUSH POLLS OF SORTS

This is going in my American Government lectures on polling, but perhaps I'll have to modify the lecture by noting that these kinds of deliberately crappy polls might create enough controversy to shift the focus of debate in the direction that Republicans like -- on the same principle as the Bush / Cheney campaign's deliberately provocative ads of recent days.
