So, when you get married in California (in, say, city hall in San Francisco), the Genetic Disease Branch of the CA DHS gives you a booklet on how to stay healthy. It's mostly geared toward health during pregnancy, but I still feel touched. Right now I'm making sure that I'm getting enough folic acid (see p. 2).
