Paper Author:
Review Author:
What is the main claim of the paper? What are the subordinate claims? Sketch
an outline of the paper's argument on the back of this sheet.
What sorts of evidence does the author use? Is the evidence appropriate? What
additional evidence would you suggest, if any?
Does the author take account of possible objections to the argument? If so,
how does the author deal with these objections? If not, state a few objections
(i.e., at least two) that you would raise and suggest ways that the author could
address them.
Find at least one passage (a) where the author makes use of what Booth, Colomb
and Williams call a "warrant," or (b) one passage where the author
could have done so in order to strengthen the argument.
